Volunteer Opportunities:

Field Trip Leaders, Event Staff, Book Sales, Children’s Leaders for Early Risers Kids Club, Equipment Handlers for set up and storage of DRAS equipment, DRAS Booth people, Audubon Important Bird Area Bird Surveys, periodic Clean-up Crews, Newsletter mailings, monthly Birdwalk Leaders, and Assistant Newsletter Editor with graphic art skills.

All of our volunteers play a vital role in insuring that Desert River’s outreach to our community is successful and ongoing. We will provide training as necessary to “ease” you into a particular volunteer position. Please consider joining with us as a Volunteer, and experience the fulfillment and joy that comes with seeing your work result in tangible results in adults and children who attend our several programs to “connect people with nature.”

Teachers! Whether retired, or currently teaching, we need you! We need teachers in various programs teaching 4th and 5th graders about nature, and younger kids in our Kids Club!
